Services will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 2:00p.m., with Rev. Johnny Haynes & Billy Ellis. Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery. May was born November 6, 1906 in DeKalb, Texas, to the late William Arthor Haynes, and the late Hattie Lucille (Morris) Haynes. May Graduated from Gatlin School and Edmond College with a teaching certificate. She lived in the Marlow area most of her life. She taught school at Gatlin before she married Dwight Moody Blackburn on June 13, 1930 in Marlow. May owned and operated the Marlow Laundry for 15 years. After Dwight passed away on May 6, 1970, she started sitting with elderly, she was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow where she taught Sunday School. Survivors include 4 sons, William Don Blackburn and wife Wilma of Roanooke, VA. Jerry Blackburn and wife Oleta of Marlow, Jimmy Blackburn and wife Ginger of Marlow, Danny Blackburn and wife Marilyn of Bartlesville, OK. Daughter, Linda Scott and husband Larry of Duncan, 13 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 1 sister, Marie Cross of Duncan, 1 Brother-in-law, Curtis Cuthberson, TX. Sister-in-law, Ruby Haynes of Duncan, many Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
