He served as a member of the 2nd Marine Div. in World War 11 on Siapan, Tinian and Okinawa. He married Patsy Hughes in Yuma AZ on June 17 1950.He was an ordained minister in the Freewill Baptist Church serving in California, Velma Ok, Duncan OK, and Comanche OK. He worked for the City of Comanche as a firefighter, in the electrical dept, and retired as Police Chief in 1991.He retired from the ministry in 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, on April 5 1995. He married Ina Mae Wren in Comanche on March 2 1997. He is survived by sons, Beryl Gene and Cindy Blair of Mesquite TX, Tom and Andrea Blair of Watauga TX, Daughters Carla and Danny Eddins of Brawley CA, Gayla and Frank Kelly of Duncan, Judy Abshire of Comanche and Dana Mullins of Duncan, 22 grandchildren-Tonya and Dustin Bryant of Ryan, Montie Beryl Blair, Tanya and Johnny Munson, Michelle Blair, Tiffany Blair, and Anna Munson ,all of Comanche, Crystal Abshire, Nichole Abshire, Kevin Kelly, Leah Kelly, June and Jackie Martinez, Jennifer and Jason Brewer, Dylan and Julia Martinez, and Brooke Mullins , all of Duncan, Rickie and Brian Eddins of San Diego CA, Christina Blair of San Antonio TX, Dewayne and Nichole Kelly of Midwest City, Michael Weeaks of Moore, Johnny Wenger of Arlington TX and Jeanna Wenger of Bedford TX. , Six great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Anna Munson of Comanche, Hannan Beryl Bryant of Ryan, Dylan and Julia Martinez of Duncan and Austin Kelly of Midwest City, a sister Nettie Lou and Wade Jernigan of Noble.
