All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== PROMINENT FARMER DIES AT HIS HOME (June 19, 1927) "Uncle Charley" Boulware Leaves Nine Children, Wife, Brother and a Sister C H Boulware, one of the pioneers of Duncan and vicinity and familiarly known as "Uncle Charley," died at his home nine miles west of the city at 6 o/clock Saturday night. He had lived in and around Duncan for the last 33 years. "Uncle Charley" had been sick for the last nine days but had suffered prior to that time from a cancer trouble. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed a wide acquaintance in Stephens County an beyond its immediate limits. Nine children and his widow survive. In addition there is a brother and a sister, the brother, Louis, living at Conway, Tex., and the sister Mrs Emma Woods, at Paducah. The children are: Mrs Ottie Eakes* of Chickasha, Mrs Bell Tate of Duncan, Mrs Fannie Clark of Earlsboro, Mrs Stella Hedges of Healdton, Mrs Lena Hill of Shawnee, Mrs Inez Schaeffer of Duncan, Will Boulware of Snyder, Louis of Duncan and Fate Boulware of Marlow. Boulware was 71 years old. The funeral service will be held at his home southwest of Duncan at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Revrand J. J. Ward officiating, assisted by the Reverend Nicholson. Burial will be at the Duncan Cemetery. The Beeson Grantham Funeral Home made the arrangements.
