All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 1 Dec 2002 Kenneth Lavone Barton MARLOW - Kenneth Lavone Barton, 56, of Marlow died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. G.W. Howard, the Rev. Bill Hornbeck and the Rev. Elwyn Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Mr. Barton was born Jan. 11, 1946, in Marlow to William Lara and Katie Lourine Franklin Barton. He lived in Marlow most of his life where he attended school. He was self-employed in construction. He enjoyed gardening vegetables and working on cars. He also enjoyed carpentry, writing poetry, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a very strong family man. Mr. Barton was a member of God's Helping Hands House of Prayer in Walters, Texas. Survivors include three daughters, Michall "Shelly" Leigh Barton of Marlow, Lisa Marie Cameron and her husband, Keith, of Austin, Texas, and Lacey Katherine Taylor of Comanche; two grandchildren, Candace and Anna Pollard, both of Marlow; three brothers and sisters-in-law, LeRoy and Louise "Bootsy" Barton of Bray, Jimmy Delano and Peggy Barton of Marlow and John Wesley and Marlene Barton of Spokane, Wash.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Leone "Sis" Carson of Bray, Jessie Mae Bernard, Katherine Lorene and Lenard Davis and Margaret Ruth and Gary Dorsey, all of Marlow. He is preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Eddie Dorman Barton, William Thomas Barton, David Franklin Barton and Lara Joe Barton. Bearers will be Rodney Dorsey, Bruce Bernard, Dale Barton, Shannon Elroy, Johnny Barton, Russell Barton, Jimmy Barton and Gerald Barton.
