Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Comanche with Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Comanche. Mrs. Britton was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Denton, Texas, to Karl and Henrietta Schwartz. She married Dudley Britton on Sept. 20, 1931, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1983. Mrs. Britton worked as a nurses aide for Comanche Nursing Home for many years. She also was a homemaker, worked on the family farm, and owned and operated a cafe. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1938. She was the Past Noble Grand of the Rebekkah Lodge No. 149 in 1957. She was the Past District Deputy President in 1960. She was the P.C.M. of L.E.A. in Duncan Lodge No. 83 in 1966. She was Past President of Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs "Militant" Chickasha No. 3 in 1968. Survivors include a son, Richard Carl Britton of Marlow; two daughters, Ruth Jones of Comanche and Nancy Hopper of Lovington, N.M.; a sister, Dorothy Sachenhiemer of Harrah; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
