Brown, 65, pioneer resident of the Rock Creek community west of Duncan, died at 5:20 a.m. today in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Brown was born February 1, 1880 in Michigan and homesteaded at Rock Creek in 1901, coming here from Kingfisher where he had lived a short while. He lived on the same place until his death. He married Louisa Roberts in October 1905, and was a member of the Rock Creek Presbyterian Church, having joined some 40 years ago. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Louisa Brown, four children, George of Wilson; Floyd of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Hazel Weathers, Turlock, Calif; Miss Margie Brown, Rock Creek, and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, A.W. Brown of Falls City, OR; Frank R. Kilgore, TX; Charles E. of Rush Springs; Mrs. Rena Adkins, Rock Creek; and Mrs. Effie Preddy, Aurora, OR. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Rock Creek church. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery with the Beeson Granthan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. --------------------------------------------------------------------
