Burns, born Feb. 24 1921 in Hollis to Claud C and Ova Hilderbrant Burns, died Feb. 8 1999 in Duncan Regional Hospital. He attended Hollis schools. He married Mary May Paul in Lawton on Oct. 30 1945.He was a member of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God in Duncan. He was a retired mechanic for City Service in Duncan and an army veteran of World War Two. Survivors include his wife of the home, daughters Linda Tullos, Pauline Herrin and Charlotte Burns of Duncan, Darlene Womack of Lindsay, and Shirley Ferguson of Joshua TX., A son Tony Burns of Duncan., 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a brother Harvey Daughtery of Duncan, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Clark Burns on March 27 1997.He was buried in the Marlow Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------------
