All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 6 Dec 2002 Gordon Keith Bruner Service for Gordon Keith Bruner, 69, of Comanche, who died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2002, in his home is pending with Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan. ========= Duncan Banner 8 Dec 2002 Bruner, Gordon Keith Gordon Keith Bruner, 69, died at home Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, after a brief illness. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Monday at Don Grantham Funeral Home, with Ron Stough officiating. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. He was born to S.B. and Letha Bruner on Oct. 21, 1933, in Chico, Texas. A 1952 graduate of Apache High School, Bruner married Molly Alice James on Oct. 16, 1952, in Chickasha. He served in the Pacific during the Korean conflict, as a member of the U.S. Navy. He was a Radioman First Class aboard the USS Taussig. In 1954, Mr. Bruner began employment at Halliburton Services in Duncan. Hired by Erle P. Halliburton, he began work in the Machine Shop, and transferred to Data Processing in 1962. He served the company for 31 years. After retirement in 1985, Mr. Bruner continued operation of two businesses with his wife Molly: The Two Bees, a jewelry store in Duncan; and Willow Point Farms of Comanche. Mr. Bruner is survived by his wife of 50 years, Molly; two sisters and a brother, Billie Faye Carter of Frederick, Lloyd Bruner of Cleburne, Texas, and Ovella McKinney of Irving, Texas; three children and their spouses, Ron and Ann Bruner of Hollis, Bill and Nelda Bruner of Oklahoma City, Preston and Lea Ann Gatewood of Houston. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Ben and Tara Bruner of Edmond; Lauren and Bailey Bruner of Hollis; Kerri, Andrea, Zach, Caleb, Joshua and Jonathan Bruner of Oklahoma City; Nathan and Lindsey Gatewood of Houston.
