Brammer, Jr., 59, of Wichita, Kan., passed away, Oct. 11, 2005, in a vehicle accident near Cross City, Fla. Military graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 15, at Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Broadway Mortuary in Witchita. Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 14, at Broadway Mortuary in Witchita. Laurence was born Dec. 22, 1945, in Wichita. He retired as a captain in the Army Reserve National Guard Special Forces. He was a civilian supervisor in building large barracks in Bermuda and Puerto Rico. He later worked in construction with his son and in long- distance trucking, with emphasis in hauling specialized loads. He was a Boy Scout leader, avid outdoorsman, baseball umpire, and accomplished carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Lucy; and a brother, James. Survivors include two sons, Justin of Marlow, and John of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Rylan and Kaylee, both of Marlow; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judith (James) Graham of Fort Worth, Janet Danitschek and Jacqueline (Robert) Lane, both of Wichita, Jennifer Curtis of Spring Hill, Fla.; and a niece, eight nephews, and five great-nieces and -nephews.
