He married Mary Oma Bradshaw Sept. 29, 1945 in Duncan. He was a retired oilfield worker, was in the U.S. Army during the Second World War and was affiliated with the Baptist Church. He had lived in Lone Grove eight years. Survivors include his wife of the home, sone, Don Cox and Gary Joe Cox of Lone Grove, daughters, Kay Stewart of Comanche and Norma Helton of Honduras, Central America, brother, Donald Cox of Duncan, sisters, Iva Jewel Bradshaw and Maxine Cooley both of Duncan, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were in the Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Loco Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------------------
