She married Homer F. Callaway on Dec. 24 1925 in Marlow. She attended Beaver School, Marlow Public School and Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha. She was bookkeeper, buyer and sale- person for Callaway Furniture Store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marlow. Survivors include a son, Charles Callaway of Oklahoma City, two daughters, Carolyn Hartley of Cranberry PA, and Gayle Ehler of Brighton CO., grandchildren, Charnell Williamson and James Tinker Callaway, both of Oklahoma City, Caylyn Williams of Cashion, John Callaway of Kansas City KS, Harold Hartley 3rd, of Nashville Ten, Carol Hartley of Rochester Minn., David Hartley of Stuttgart Germany, Allen Ehler of Belleville Wash. and Deborah Strahm of Gig Harbor Wash., 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 26 1976. Funeral services were held in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Nease officiating and Rev. George Gilland assisting. Press Mahaffey presented the eulogy. Burial was in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway- Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. --------------------------------------------------------------------
