Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel with the Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery. Mr. Calhoun was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Marlow, to John Frank Calhoun, Sr. and Grace Jane Anderson Calhoun. He married Artie Grace Adkisson on May 23, 1942, in Marlow. Mr. Calhoun graduated from Marlow High School and lived in Marlow most of his life. Also, he was a resident of Oklahoma City of 11 years and Fort Worth for 10 years. He was a retired carpenter and painter. He loved to fish, read, work crossword puzzles and enjoyed yard work and his great-grandkids. He was of the Nazarene faith. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, John Calhoun of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Brooke Calhoun of Oklahoma City and Jonette Nunn and her husband, Scott, of Marlow; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Mathew and Nicole Nunn of Marlow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
