"BUCK" CLEMENTS Funeral service for Alvin M. "Buck" Clements, age 87, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Day will officiate. Alvin M. "Buck" Clements was born the son of Thad Marion Clements and Virginia Jewell Gray Clements on January 10, 1918, in Corum, Oklahoma. He died on December 8, 2005, in Oklahoma City. Buck graduated from Comanche High School. He attended Cameron College in Lawton for two years then attended Oklahoma A & M where he graduated with a degree in Soil Science. Soon after graduation, he entered the United States Navy and served during World War II. After the war, he worked for the Soil Conservation Service. In 1975, Buck retired with 35 years of service. After retiring, he moved to Ninnekah where he began farming and ranching full time. Buck was a member of the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kola Clements Fortune, son, Buddy Clements, and one sister, Glynna Dunn. Survivors include: Wife: Irene Clements of the home; Son & Wife: Dan & Peggy Clements of Coalgate: Sister: Juhree Hilinski of Anchorage, Kentucky; Five Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
