Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Gorham officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Mr. Combs was born June 24, 1936, in Clearview, to Otis "Sandy" Sr. and Idessa Hicks Combs. He married Lois D. Ashley on April 23, 1962. Mr. Combs retired as a Sgt. 1st. Class from the United States Army after 21 years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked 15 years for Halliburton Services as an accountant and supervisor of property records. He served as past president and lieutenant governor of the Optimist Club, board member for United Way, board of directors of Halliburton Employees Credit Union. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Combs of Oklahoma City and Kenny Combs of Hopewell, Va.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Sandy and Sheila Combs of South Bend, Ind., and Harold Combs of Dallas; nine sisters and seven brothers- in-law, Opal and Fred Patmon of Detroit, Mich., Jeanetta and Howard Shipp of Stillwater, Dimple and James Thompson of Oklahoma City, BeEtta and Dewey Griffin of Flossmoor, Ill., Maurene and John Reagor of Broken Arrow, Brenda Jones of Gainesville, Fla., Alfreda and Melvin Dugger of St. Louis, Mo., Kale Anderson of Oklahoma City, and Chee Chee and Dewitt Lewis of Gainesville, Fla.; a grandchild, Madison Combs of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bearers will be Marcel Gigger, Tommy Turner, Kermit Smart, Kenneth Brackens, Alton Carr and S.T. Buycks. Honorary bearers are Hershel White, Willie Pearson, T.W.
