All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 13 Aug 2002 Rubye Mae Denton Cund Rubye Mae Denton Cund, died peacefully Friday evening, Aug. 9, 2002, in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church of Duncan with Dr. Randy Scraper officiating and the Rev. Phil Wahl assisting. The daughter of James and Minnie Denton, Rubye was born June 8, 1912, in Lincolnville. She was married to C.D. Cund, a long-time and respected Duncan attorney and former president of the Oklahoma Bar Association. The most consuming and important part of her life was spent as a legal secretary to her husband in the law firm of Brown and Cund. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member and past president of Chapter BK-PEO, Philomathic Club and Shakespeare Club. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Sue Denton, and two nieces, Nancy Denton Newton and Susan Denton McNeely of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by her niece, Marian Brown of Duncan, and great-nieces, Anne Brown Dougherty of Edmond, Mary Frances Brown Jones of Duncan, Nancy Brown Pool of Dallas, Texas, and Sally Brown North of Woodland Hills, Calif., as well as a great-nephew, Dr. Robert James Weedn of Duncan, and their respective families. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Cund; her brother, James Denton of Altus; a sister-in-law, Annie Cund Brown and her husband, R.H. Brown; a niece, Mildred Brown Weedn; and two nephews, Robert O.
