Curtis, 90, of Comanche, who died Monday, May 27, 2002, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dudley Funeral Home in Comanche with Dow Pannell and Jimmy Green officiating. Burial will be in Ryan Cemetery. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday. ========= Duncan Banner 29 May 2002 Written by: The Duncan Banner Staff Robert Trout Curtis COMANCHE — Robert Trout Curtis, 90, of Comanche, died Monday, May 27, 2002, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche with Dow Pannell and Jimmy Green officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and the family will receive visitors from 5 until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Curtis was born Oct. 18, 1911, in Lara to John Calvin and Della Budd Curtis. He married Gladys Ruby Goss on Aug. 16, 1932, in Waurika. Mr. Curtis worked in the oil field for 25 years. He also worked in the Houston shipyard and held other jobs during his lifetime. He was a kind, generous, and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. His happy go lucky attitude will be missed by many. He fought a lot of battles in life and won by knowing and depending on God. Survivors include his wife, Gladys, of the home; three sons and their wives, Billy Gene and Joan Curtis of Swink, Johnny and Rita Curtis of Comanche, and Bobby and Barbara Curtis of Duncan; three daughters, Joyce Bewley and her husband, Junior, of Enid, Ina Lawson of Comanche, and Glenda Baker and her husband, David, of Comanche; 11 grandchildren, Cathey Roten, Debbie Herriman, Ronnie Curtis, Robbie Fox, Billy Lawson, Tony Fox, Davy Baker, Melissa Ramsey, Craig Curtis, Shayne Baker and Angie Douglass; and 18 great-grandchildren.
