The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Craythorne, Clawges, Frensley, Rees, Astle, Chamblis, Weightman, Mosier, Vestal John Craythorne of Duncan, born July 3 1907 in Beverly NJ to Sidney Thomas and Martha Clawges Craythorne, died Aug. 19 1999 in his home. He married Moryne Frensley in 1943 in Duncan. He served in the 88th Division of the Signal corp of the US ARMY during WW II. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, Philco Electronics and was a partner in Green's Nursery and owned Craythorne's Refinishing for many years. He was active in organizing the Duncan Boy's Club, active in the Boy Scouts and the Stephens Co. Audubon Society. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church and still actively serving in the Home-Bound Department of the church, visiting the elderly at 92 years of age. Survivors include his wife Moyne of the home, a daughter and son-in- law Johnyne and Tom Rees of Houston, Her grandsons and their spouses, Robert and Ann Astle of Frisco TX, Andrew and Deidre Rees of Tulsa, granddaughters, Kari Astle of Houston and Cherie Rees of Tulsa, a great-grandson Robert Astle Jr. of Frisco TX. Bearers were his nephews, Bill Chamblis, Glen Weightman, John Ed Mosier, Lynn Mosier, Cannon Chamblis and Andy Vestal. Services were in the First Baptist Church with Jerry Whitten officiating and the Rev. Jody Hilliard assisting. Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan. --------------------------------------------------------------------
