MARY DAVIS Mrs. Mary Davis died at her home east of Marlow Friday, Jan. 15 after three years of illness. She was born near Franklin, KY. March 29, 1880, and was past 62 years old at time of her death. She was married to John David Davis in Pauls Valley in 1889. The couple moved to Marlow from Pauls Valley 17 years ago. They were the parents of two sons and six daughters who survive, Mr. Davis died here several years ago. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sons are Jessie Davis of Marlow and Lee Davis of Tracy, Calif. The daughters are Mrs. Clara Newberry of Allen, Mrs. Florence Bishop of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Pearl Cowan of Duncan, Miss. Nora Davis of the home address, Mrs. Lillie McGee and Mrs. Fannie Ilix, both of Frederick. Two brothers, George Malicoat of Roff and Mat Malicoat of Gertie, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Davis and Mrs. W.D. Beddoe, also survive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Penecostal Church of God conducted by J.E. Madewell of Marlow. Burial was in the Marlow cemetery. The Steele Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
