Martin David Dees of Duncan, born June 28 1928 in Elgin to Zack and 
Lucy Venable Dees, died March 28 1999 in Duncan Regional Hospital.

He married Montez Seymour on Jan. 12 1951. He was a retired welder 
from Haliburton. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter 
and son-in-law, Janie and Clyde Shaw of Duncan, two sons and 
daughters-in-law, John and Janice Dees of Richardson TX and Don and 
Janet Dees of Athens Ala., and seven grandchildren. He was preceded 
in death by five brothers, Ira Dees, Claud Dees, B.L. Dees, Marion 
Dees, and Calvin Dees, four sisters, Myrtle Burke, Rosa Lee Shorter, 
Mary Woods and Lucy Mae Richards.

Funeral services were in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel in 
Duncan with Rev. Darrell Edwards officiating.

Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery.
