Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Bro. David Hale and the Rev. Don Chaffin officiating. Burial was held in Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith- Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Born Aug. 22, 1936, to John and Velma (McDaniel) Heard, in Rush Springs, she set up educational programs for OEA and enjoyed crocheting and cooking hot rolls and cinnamon rolls. She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law, Randell and Linda Decker of Rush Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tami and Larry Hamstead of Marlow, Charlotte and Lonnie Hayes of Rush Springs, and Teresa and Larry Townsend of Marlow; three sisters, Dorothy Rachel of Louisiana, Pat and Arnold Davis of Marlow and Billie Kemp of Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Troy Trusty, Ed Caveny, Joel Tumblson, Jay Hamstead, Rick Heard, and Don Hayes.
