Daugherty, 82, of Amarillo, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bolton Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Green, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dodson Cemetery in Dodson. Arrangements are by Blackburn- Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St. Mr. Daugherty was born in Duncan, Okla., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Dodson and worked as a butcher for 12 years. In 1957, he moved to Amarillo. Mr. Daugherty retired after 26 years as a security guard for Pantex. He was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church and a 50-year member of Wellington Masonic Lodge No. 763. He married Hattie Boren in 1994 at Amarillo. His first marriage was to Ruby Nell Batts in 1935 at Hollis, Okla. She died in 1991. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Ray Daugherty of Irving, Lee Boren of Arlington and Danny Daugherty, James Boren and John Boren, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Margaret Stewart and Linda Vance, both of Amarillo; a brother, Hershell Daugherty of Penryn, Calif.; a sister, Juree Meek of Penryn; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
