All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 31 Jan 2003 Juanita Jean Dodson Juanita Jean Dodson, 77, a longtime Duncan resident died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, in Heartland Care Assisted Living Center. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dale Nease officiating and the Rev. Walter Russell assisting. Interment will be in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Juanita was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Doyle, the daughter of Joe and Gertie Graham Parks. She graduated from Velma High School in 1943. She married Charles Wayne "Jack" Dodson in 1945 in Duncan. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1990. Mrs. Dodson was a faithful member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Club. She enjoyed reading and loved to play dominoes and card games. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and M.L. "Sandy" Stewart of Duncan; six nephews, Barry Taylor of Marlow, Ronald Stewart of Kingfisher, M.L. Stewart Jr., Terry Stewart and Mike Parks, all of Duncan, and Murray Don Parks of Velma; five nieces, Gayle Selby of Duncan, June Wells of Broken Arrow, Sandra Bishop of Mustang, Mary Files of Marlow and Lynn Hughes of Gage; and numerous great-nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Wayne Dodson of May 22, 1993; two brothers and two sisters. Bearers will be Terry Stewart, M.L. Stewart Jr., Ronald Stewart, Mike Parks, Murray Don Parks, David Bishop, Barry Taylor and Jim Selby.
