All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Lawton Constitution Monte Rae Dunn COMANCHE — Monte Rae Dunn, 91, of Duncan went to be with her Lord and her husband, Carl, on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Duncan. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fairlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Green officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Visitation will be until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home of Comanche. Monte Rae was born Feb. 2, 1912, in Bochita, to Robert and Sarah McCurley. She married Carl R. Dunn on July 11, 1929, in Rush Springs. He preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 1972. Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker, music teacher and a member of City Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Maria Dunn of Duncan; a daughter and son-in-law, Ila Rose and Aaron D. Miller of Comanche; two sisters, Lila Jane McElroy of San Antonio, Texas, and Naomi Jean Marburger of Leander, Texas; a brother, R.C. McCurley of Pampa, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; her best and closest friend, Ilse Dunn; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nell Jo Biffle, and a son, Billy Carl Dunn.
