Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Hanely officiating, minister of Wilbarger Street Church of Christ. Burial was held in the Rock Creek Cemetery at 3 p.m. Central High. Born November 19, 1939, to the late John Lewis and Lena Dema Pamplin Dennis in Duncan, he was member of the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ. Dennis graduated from Central High in 1957 and Oklahoma State University in 1961, he was vocational agriculture teacher for 34 years in Vernon and Oklaunion schools and at Vernon State Hospital. On June 25, 1959, he married Arna Laverne Auld in Duncan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents George and Dema Pamplin and Tom and Elizabeth Dennis. Survivors in addition to his wife Arna of the home include a son Jed Lewis Duncan, Jr. of Lewisville, TX; a daughter Cindy Ouzts of Wichita Falls, TX; and a granddaughter Whitney Fontenot. Other survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law Joe and Linda Dennis of Duncan and John, Jr. and Darla Dennis of Marlow; a sister and brother-in- law Caroline and Bill McCarley of Marlow. Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Byars; Greg Inglish; Tim Schur; Jeff Bearden; Dan Bond; David Logsdon; Richard Ramsey; and Weldon Hawley.
