Denton Ruth E. Denton, 80, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Duncan. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 11, at Glorybound, with David Woods officiating. Burial was held in the Marlow Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Born Dec. 15, 1924, to George and Waneta (Weatherford) Calloway, Jr., in Abernathy, Texas, she was a private care giver for over 60 years, and enjoyed watching movies and reading. On July 28, 1945, she married James Denton, in Carlsbad, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a granddaughter, Tracy Kennedy. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sharon Denton of Okarche; two daughters and a son-in-law, Emma Denton-Mauricio of Marlow, and Lavenia and Cornelis Koot of Palo Cedro, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Essie Calloway of Dexter, NM; two sisters and a brother-in-law, C. Virginia White of Coweta, and Gloria and Jack Brock of Truth or Consequences, NM. Pallbearers were Ronnie Davis, Randy Davis, Chris Petty, Larry Peddycoat, Greg Sanders, and Johnny Holt.
