Dec. 21, 2002, in Duncan. Service was at 3 p.m. Dec. 23, 2002, in the First Baptist Church of Comanche with the Rev. Gary Smith officiating and Timothy Ball assisting. Burial was in Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Mr. Edgar was born June 10, 1931, in Addington, to Jessie Clyde and Irene Edgar. He married Pauline on Nov. 6, 1951, in Wichita Falls. He lived in Comanche most of his life and was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Comanche, a member of Comanche Lodge No. 41, Red Red Rose and Eastern Star. He loved his church and family. Mr. Edgar raised beagles. He fished with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, and was always in search of "Mr. Biggie." Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, J.P. and Carla Edgar of Comanche; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Robert Knoll of Duncan and Susan and Dan Mitchell of Mustang; grandchildren, Joseph and Jonna Roberts, Melissa Myers, Jennifer Pogue, Brianne Knoll, Ashley Edgar and Cam Edgar; two stepgrandchildren, Wesley Mitchell and Miranda Laminack; four great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild. Bearers were Mike Keister, Charlie Dunlap, Preston Byford, Royce Wisdom, Dee Bowen and Ron Roberts. Honorary bearers were members of Comanche Lodge No. 41.
