Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Craig Christina officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan City Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Edwards was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Duncan to Steve and Velma Prescott Beasley. She attended Duncan schools and after graduation worked for Halliburton. She retired from Civil Service, having worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, and with the Arizona Air Procurement District in Phoenix and Fort Sill. After retirement from Civil Service, she was employed at Montgomery Ward from 1982 to 1986. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Genealogy Society, NARFE and First Baptist Church in Duncan. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Jean Anderson and her husband, David, of Cypress, Texas; two sons, Ronnie D. Edwards and his wife, Marina, of Boise, Idaho, and Mark A. Edwards of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Michael Anderson, and Stefani and Christopher Edwards; a sister, Elizabeth A. Marks of Duncan; three nephews, Richard Marks, Steve Mount and Tommy Owen; three nieces, Cindy Updyke, Janice Jameson and Dee Ann Benton; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Sue Owen, and a brother-in-law, Ford L. "Pete" Marks. Bearers will be Gary Updyke, David Anderson, Adam Marks, Alex Marks, Dustin Jameson and Greg Updyke. Honorary bearers are Dr. Dennis Hughes and Dustin Cox. Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice, P.O.
