Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Quiinton Newton officiating. Burial was held in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Calllaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel. Born June 1, 1934, to William and Marion (Rogerts) Kerr in New York, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Elkington lived in the Rush Springs area for 13 years.and was a former private investigator and a paralegal in California. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a daughter Rose Marie. Survivors include a son Herb McIntyre of Helena; five daughters Rebecca Weaver, Schanta McIntyre, Chaine McIntyre and Anita Trusty all of Rush Springs and Debbie Peace of Marlow; eight grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and a step-daughter Debra Woolard of Yale, IL. Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Peace, Rich Weaver, James Hammons, Brennen Kiser, Randy Johnson; and Dale Jones.
