Fox MARLOW — Service for Lawrance V. Fox, 91, of Marlow, who died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Gregston Nursing Home in Marlow, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. T.O. Parsons and the Rev. Alan McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. The family will meet at the home of Earlene Forsythe, 307 N. Sixth St. in Marlow. Memorial contributions may be made to Court Appointed Special Advocates for Abused and Neglected Children, 1338 Commerce, Suite B., Longview, WA 98632, or to Heartland Hospice. ========= Duncan Banner 27 Dec 2002 Fox, Lawrance V. MARLOW — Lawrance V. Fox, 91, of Marlow died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Gregston Nursing Home in Marlow. Service was to be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. T.O. Parsons and the Rev. Alan McGuire officiating. Burial was to be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. The family will meet at the home of Earlene Forsythe, 307 N. Sixth in Marlow. Mr. Fox was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Henrietta, Texas, to William Calvin and Carrie McClannahan Fox. He married Nina Esteen Chambers on Aug. 22, 1942, in Marlow. Mr. Fox attended school at Oak Grove and was a graduate of Gatlin High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army/Air Force. He lived in Marlow most of his life. He owned and operated Fox Garage, where he retired as a mechanic. He also built wood crafts out of his home. Lawrance and Nina always treated Verna’s friends as their own daughters. Lawrance enjoyed wood crafts, carpentry, fishing, mechanic work, the fiddle, music and family activities. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Verna Ruth and Bill Grimes of Kelso, Wash.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Jenkins and her husband, Chris, of Kelso; two grandsons, Jeff Grimes and Michael Grimes, both of Kelso; a great-grandchild, Alexander Jenkins of Kelso; a brother and sister-in-law, O.B. and Ruby Fox of Amarillo, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
