Fisher,Jr., born Oct. 7 1921 In Miami to Arch U and Rena Reed Fisher, died March 7 1999 in Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Miami High School and NEO Junior College. He married Helen Louise Carrithers on Jan. 4 1942 In Picher. They moved to Duncan in 1952. They owned a Dairy Queen for nine years. He worked for Haliburton, retiring in 1983 after 30 years. He served as an Explorer Air Scout Advisor in Miami and as Explorer Advisor and Cub Scout Pack Leader in Duncan. He was active in the Duncan Literacy Council. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Leader, Lay Speaker, and United Methodist Men Organizations. He was a veteran of World War 2 and a Navy flight instructor. He and Helen were members of the square dancing and round dancing clubs in Duncan and Lawton. Survivors include his wife of the home, two sons and daughters-in- law, Randy and Deborah Fisher of Naperville Ill. and Scott and Jenny Fisher of Southlake TX. , a brother and sister-in-law Edgar and Ruth Fisher of Bartlesville, a sister-in-law Naydene Herring of McAlester, five grandchildren, Wendy (Mrs. JlT.)Connell of Bartlett Ill., Paul and Betty Fisher of Akron Ohio, Jonathan Fisher of Lexington KY, and Joe and Sarah Fisher of Southlake TX., three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Loren and Erin Connell of Bartlett. Funeral Services were held in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Deborah Fisher, daughter-in-law of the deceased and Rev. Arden Smith officiating.
