Findley Pearl A. Findley, 86, of Duncan died Friday, March 28, 2003, in her home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Duncan Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. C.W. Medlin and his wife, Deborah, of Zebulon, N.C. They are Mrs. Findley’s nephew and niece. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pearl was born July 15, 1916, in Petrolia, Texas, to Robert and Mary Bradford Dunford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Donette Cowgill of Dallas; a sister, Lola Purvis of Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Paco of Tecumseh and Lilly Dunford of Perry; five nieces and their spouses, Carol Thomson, Barbara and Ribble Sheppard, all of Duncan, Bobby Joe and Dick Craig of Tecumseh, R.R. and Mae Dunford of Perry, Cheryl and Keith Hansing of Stillwater; several great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Findley; her parents; three brothers, “Fat” Dunford, Richard Dunford and Paul Dunford; and two sisters, Ruby Dunford and Glades Booth. Bearers will be Bob, Branden, Dustin and Lynn Parkhurst; Chuck Young; C.W.
