The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ===================================================================== Surnames: Gibbs, Davis, Munns, Ryan, Ludwig, Weatherford, Brook, Herring Leslie Leon Gibbs, a long-time resident of Duncan, born Feb. 6 1921 to William Maggie Gibbs in Wardville, died May 25 1999 in Aurora Colo. He married June Davis on March 1 1947. He was affiliated with the Baptist church and an avid fisherman who loved country and gospel music. He was a member of the Truck Drivers Hall of Fame. Survivors include long-time companion, Jewell Munns, a son Leslie Kevin Gibbs, a daughter Karen Jean Ryan, a brother Thurman Gibbs of Duncan, a sister Ola Ludwig of Womelsdorf PA and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Herman Gibbs and Floyd Gibbs and three sisters, Mandy Weatherford, Belle Brook and Bertice Herring. Funeral services were in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Duncan with Rev. Jody Hillard officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home of Duncan. --------------------------------------------------------------------
