Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Duncan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Ray was born June 2, 1919, in Duncan, to Roy and Mary Towler Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army in the European Theatre. He was retired from Getty Oil Company as a production supervisor and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny Ray and Marsha Gibson of Duncan; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mike Grantham of Duncan; a sister, Margie Anderson of Empire; six grandchildren, Jeremy Gibson, Josh Gibson, Ryan Grantham, Abby Grantham, Darrell Gibson and Gayla Gibson; and four great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Josh Gibson, Ryan Grantham, Darrell Gibson, Mike Anderson, Jody Anderson and Kim Anderson. Honorary bearers are John Robinson, Craig Robinson, Tom Robinson, Glen Koonce, Don Pryor and Ray Dillon. The family would like to thank the Alterra Sterling House employees for all their support, guidance and kindness during Mr. Gibson’s stay there.
