All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Marlow Cemetery--Marlow OK Duncan Banner 14 Mar 2003 William Issac Gosnell MARLOW — Service for William Issac Gosnell, 80, of Marlow, who died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Marlow, is pending with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. ========= Duncan Banner 16 Mar 2003 William "Bill" Issac Gosnell William "Bill" Issac Gosnell, 80, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Marlow Manor Nursing Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Callaway- Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow, with Jack Richey officiating. Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery. William was born on Nov. 22, 1922, to Emma and Charlie William Gosnell in Bradley. He graduated from Bradley Schools. He married Lucille M. Gosnell on Dec. 21, 1946, in Monroe, La. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Gosnell had lived in Marlow for the past eight years and resided in the Duncan and Lake Humphreys area for 35 years. Mr. Gosnell worked as a salesman for Hamsted Ford. He retired as an insurance salesman after 25 years of service for American National Insurance. He was curator of the Marlow Museum from 1997 until September 2002, and was funded by the National Indian Council on Aging. Mr. Gosnell was a member of First Baptist Church of Marlow. He loved to watch OU and the Dallas Cowboys play. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ben Gosnell; a brother, Lloyd Gosnell; and a nephew, Bob Gosnell. Survivors include his wife, of the home in Marlow; daughter Linda Womack and her husband, Charles, of Marlow. Also, grandchildren Jim Russell and his wife, Brooke, of McKinney, Texas; Dedra Miller and her husband, Kris, of Purcell; Sherry, Terry, Bill and Kelly Gosnell of Perth, Australia; stepgrandchildren Allen and Angie; niece JoAnn Wyatt and her husband, Les; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Henry Price, Don Green, Duane Brosh, Shalyn Brosh, Harry Callaway, Buster Trout, and honorary pallbearers Jackie Waldo and J.C. Farmer.
