All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Duncan Banner 23 Oct 2002 Junette Leona Hed Godbey HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Junette Leona Hed Godbey, 89, of Hutchinson died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, in Hester Care Center of Wesley Towers in Hutchinson. She was born June 28, 1913, in Saline County, Kan., the daughter of John Edward and Sophia Boodine Hed. She attended Salina High School. A Hutchinson resident for five years, formerly of Duncan, Tucson, Arizona and Hoisington, Kan., where she resided for 30 years, she was a homemaker and a former employee of First United Methodist Church of Hoisington and the Lake Barton Country Club. She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church of Hutchinson, and was a past member of First United Methodist Church of Hoisington. She belonged to United Methodist Women, of which she was a past president, served as a pastor parish chairperson and Sunday School teacher, belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, served as an adviser for Rainbow Girls and was a Cub Scout Den Mother, all at Hoisington. On Sept. 11,1931, she married John Wesley Godbey in Abilene, Kan. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, John W. Godbey Jr. of Pleasantview, Colo., and Jim Godbey of Dodge City, Kan.; two daughters, Phyllis Jukes of Waunakee, Wis., and Pat Johnson of Duncan; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Everett, Morie, Kenny and Homer. Service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church, Hester Chapel, in Hutchinson, with the Rev. Nick Warner and the Rev.
