He married Barbara on Sept. 4 1949 in Henrietta TX. in the Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason of Lodge no. 60, a member of the Shriners, Eastern Star, Piano Teacher's Guild and the International Musician's Union. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Danell Busby of Lawton, three grandchildren, Mollyanne Gardner, Eric Busby and Brian Busby and three great-grandchildren, Riley Gardner, Keona Busby and Brian Busby, Jr. He was preceded in death by a son James F. Gold on July 20 1970. Funeral services were in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery in Lawton under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home of Duncan. --------------------------------------------------------------------
