Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Duncan Cemetery. Mrs. Guynes was born March 6, 1907, in Comanche to Harvey and Addie Green. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Judson A. Medley of Comanche, pioneered the Comanche area in 1862 as original settlers. On June 14, 1909, President Wm. C. Taft granted them 160 acres out of the Indian Meridian. Her parents, Harvey and Addie Green, lived in Comanche all of their lives. They operated a filling station at Main and Highway 81. She married Scales (Joe) Guynes on Nov. 10, 1933. Mrs. Guynes was a resident of Dallas for over 50 years. While in Duncan she was Head Deputy Court Clerk. She was active in square dancing and golf. She will always be remembered for her pleasant manner and the love she had for everyone. We will miss you, Alta. You are in the hands of God and will soon rejoin your loved ones who journeyed on before you.
