Giroux, 88, of Duncan, who died Thursday, July 4, 2002, in Duncan, is pending with Don Grantham Funeral Home of Duncan. ========= Duncan Banner 7 Jul 2002 Anthony Edward Giroux Anthony Edward Giroux, 88, of Duncan, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, in his home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald J. Wolf officiating. A Rosary service will be at 7 tonight at the Don Grantham Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home. Mr. Giroux was born Dec. 7, 1913, in Kankakee, Ill., to Edward Albert Giroux and Clara A. Brady, both whom preceded him in death. He married Neva Lowe on Aug. 16, 1943, in Oklahoma City. She preceded him in death Oct. 31, 1994. He was an engineer and master machinist for Halliburton for 37 years until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Order of Forrester’s. He attended the Assumption Catholic Church. Mr. Giroux is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Nell Giroux of Houston and Eddie and Karen Giroux of Comanche; three sisters, Teresa Conarro and Geraldine Wilson, both of Stillwater, and Harriett Meyers of Norman; and two grandchildren, Dawayne Giroux and Tamara Giroux. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Menefee. Bearers will be Frank Hicks, Jack Hulme, Marvin Tucker, Forest Pittman, Bill Ford and Johnny Jacobi.
