He was born Oct 19, 1870 in Selma Alabama and came to Texas with his parents. He married Mary E. Brock November 18, 1894 at Orangeville, Texas and they came to Oklahoma in 1922, moving to Duncan in 1923 to Empire city. He was a Methodist for 47 years. Survivors include 3 daughters and 1 son; Mrs. John R. Wilson of Lawton, Mrs. David R. Gray of Duncan, Mrs J. E. Blair of Duncan and Robert Green of the home. His 4 grandchildren are Mary Louise and John R. Wilson of Lawton, Elsie May Gray and John Edward Blair of Duncan. 4 Brothers are John of Sherman, Texas, Marion and Will of Celeste, Texas and 2 sisters: Mrs Miller Powell of Greenville, Texas and Mrs. Bart Beggs of Woodston, Texas and a nephew, Connor Green of Duncan. Services at the First Methodist Church will be conducted by Rev. Lemuel Fen with burial in the Reed Cemetery of Myra, Texas. --------------------------------------------------------------------
