All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Henderson-Harris Cemetery--Duncan OK Duncan Banner 3 Oct 2002 Rose Marie Greer Rose Marie Greer, 67, of Duncan died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Duncan. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Antioch Baptist Church in Duncan with the Rev. Ronald Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Henderson-Harris Cemetery in Duncan under the direction of Howard-Harris Funeral Services, Oklahoma City. Mrs. Greer was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Tatums, to Abe and Sylina Worley. In 1953, she graduated from Duncan Douglass High School where she was a member of the girl’s basketball team. She married Billy Mack Greer in 1955, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2001. In 1948, she joined church and was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church where, in 1986, she became a deaconess and later taught Sunday school. She was president of the National Triple “D” Civic and Social Organization, DCCO, and a member of Victoria Temple No. 189 and Commander of the Oklahoma Brigade. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with a degree as an administrator. Survivors include two sons, Danna Greer and Ronnell “Peski” Greer; two daughters, Rochelle Greer Keith and Samantha Stevenson; nine grandchildren, Kayona Major, Damion Greer, DeMarr Greer, Tabitha Greer, Temesia, Century, Ebony, Dion, Cherea; two great-grandchildren, Andrea Taylor and Amorie Greer; as well as a host of nephews and nieces; other relatives; and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Stephens County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/stephens/stephens.htm
