All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Lawton Constitution 8 May 2002 Edwin ‘Ed’ Lewis Hood MARLOW — Graveside service for Edwin "Ed" Lewis Hood, 93, Marlow, will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Randy Southerland officiating. Mr. Hood died Monday, May 6, 2002, at a Marlow nursing home. He was born Nov. 13, 1908, in Wizard Wells, Texas, to Dallas P. Hood and Alpha Leeman Hood. He married Doris Helen Meadows on Nov. 18, 1930, in Lawton. She died Nov. 21, 1975. He attended school in Jacksboro, Texas, but lived most of his life in Marlow, Duncan and Lawton. He was a veteran of the Navy and an autobody man for Charlie Wait Oldsmobile. He retired in 1972. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Mary Hood, Duncan; three grandchildren and their spouses: Larry and Beckie Hood; Carla and Dickie Welch; and Vicki Lynn Savage; five great-grandchildren: Shanda Savage, Shara Savage, Jacob Welch, Ethan Welch and Emily Hood; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Lonnie Simmons, Lawton; and Ora Mae and Avin Brownlee, Dumas, Texas.
