All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 4 Oct 2002 Arnold Howell Arnold Howell, 75, of Duncan died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, in his home with all of his family present. Graveside service was to be at 2 p.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Paul Tackett and the Rev. Dow Pannell officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Mr. Howell was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Woodland, Miss., to Jimmy and Bridgette Larkin Howell. He married Addie Lou McQuary on Feb. 8, 1945, in Chickasaw County, Miss., and she preceded him in death on Sept. 15, 1987. He is a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He lived in Duncan most of his life and was a truck driver for McComas Truck. He enjoyed watching football games on television. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Fowler and Robert Ashford, of Duncan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar and Phyllis Howell and James and Rilda Kay Howell, all of Duncan, and Kenneth and Debbie Howell of Yukon; a sister, Mary Alice Davis of Woodland; a very dear friend, June Averitt of Duncan; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a brother, Daniel Louis Howell. Bearers will be Duane Howell, Kyle Howell, Merl Harrel, Paul McElroy, Joe Irwin and Robert Newman. Honorary bearers are Roger Dodd, Gary Pannell and Danny Spence. Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice, P.O.
