She worked as a secretary , a bookkeeper for the City Treasurer's Department and served as a stewardess aboard Winston Passenger Ships. She served in World War II as a member of the Woman's Army Royal Pay Corps. She met Joseph Daniel Halterman, a merchant marine at a dinner dance. They were married on April 15 1944 at St. Giles Church, Marfleet England. She came to the United States in 1955, She and her family lived in Virginia and Rhode Island , moving to Guernsey Wyo in 1980. She moved to Duncan to be close to her son. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Martin and Valerie Halterman of Duncan, a granddaughter Erica Halterman of Duncan, a brother and sister-in-law Peter and Jean Svendgaard of Hull England, a niece Heidi Marwan of England and a nephew Marcus Marwan of Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister Frieda Marwan of England. Funeral services were held at Our Savior Episcopal Church in Hartville. Burial was in the Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey. Arrangements wee under the direction of don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan and Platte Funeral Chapel in Wheatland Wyo. --------------------------------------------------------------------
