Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow with the Rev. Alex Costea officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery. Sarah Elizabeth was born Feb.10, 1928, in Sulphur, to Harry M. and Delia Hucks Talley. She attended Davis Schools. She married Sherman H. Irwin Jr. on July 20, 1944, in Marietta. Mrs. Irwin was a housewife. She lived in Sulphur for 10 years and in the Marlow-Duncan area for 48 years. She spent the past 20 years traveling with her husband in a recreational vehicle. She was attending a Methodist church in Duncan and was previously baptized in The Christian Church in Sulphur. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Alberta Irwin of Muskogee and Joe G. Irwin of Duncan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry Edward and Evelyn Talley of Kingston and Denver and Melba Talley of Chickasha; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tama and Ralph Blasier of Norman, Glenna and Walter Lee of Oklahoma City, and Linda and Mike Pierce of Madill; four grandchildren, Jillian Irwin, Joshua Irwin and his wife, Emily, Michelle Mills and her husband, Chanon, and Laurie Pressler and her husband, Arnold; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leon Irwin in 1992; and two brothers, Eugene S. Talley and Louis Talley. Bearers will be Joshua Irwin, Jared Williams, Jim Allen, Leland Cadell, Chanon Mills and Arnold Pressler. Honorary bearers are James Howard, Bill Watkins, Kenneth Adams, Ted Dean and Smokey Stiles.
