Jones of Duncan, born Aug. 9 1917 in Duncan to James Alfred and Belva Lee McClendon Jones, died May 3 1999 in his home. He married Jewel Dean Stiner on April 26 1939 in Duncan. He worked for the cities of Comanche and Terral for many years. He was the owner of Jones Chainsaw sharpening and Repair. He was a volunteer firefighter in Comanche and Terral for 20 years and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Comanche. Survivors include his wife of the home, a son Willis Bartley Jones of Oklahoma City, a daughter Dorothy Deanne Horton of Harlingen TX, seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services were in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Rev. Mirl Yates officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan. --------------------------------------------------------------------
