Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, at the Marlow Cemetery with the Rev. Cody Deevers officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Born Feb. 27, 1929, to Otis and Rose (Nurse) Johnson, in Shamrock, Texas, he served in the US Air Force from 1946 to 1948, and was a member of the Moose #2202, VFW and the American Legion. On June 10, 1949, he married Wyvonne Cochran, in Archer City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marilyn Clayton; and two grandchildren, Leslie Nichols, and Jason Allen Nichols. Survivors in addition to his wife, Wyvonne, of the home include, a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Desi Johnson of Duncan; two daughters and sons- in-law, Carol Jo and Dickie Bishop of Elk City, and Rosemary and Jimmy Nichols of Velma; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
