Johnson Aug. 28, 1924 — July 3, 2006 Edgar Leo Johnson, 81, of Ballico died Monday at Mercy Medical Center Merced, Community Campus. Mr. Johnson was a native of Duncan, Okla., and lived in Ballico 72years. He was a farmer and rancher for many years, and served as volunteer mayor of Ballico. He enjoyed collecting flatirons. He was an Army veteran of World War II and participated in the D-Day landing in Normandy, France. He is survived by his children, Don Johnson of Merced, David Johnson of Waterford, Dennis Johnson of Winton and Dean Johnson of Dayton, Nev.; brother, Herbert Johnson of California; and sisters, Ruby Ranuio, Johnnie Mae Reed and Jane Johnson, all of California; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mar-ion Harriet Johnson. Visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Allen Mortuary, Turlock. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary, with burial at Turlock Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to Ballico Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
