All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== ::Marlow Cemetery--Marlow OK Duncan Banner 26 Mar 2003 Phyllis June Kuykendall MARLOW - Service for Phyllis June Kuykendall, 85, of Yukon, who died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Tuttle, is pending with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. ========= Duncan Banner 27 Mar 2003 Phyllis June Kuykendall MARLOW - Phyllis June Kuykendall, 85, of Yukon died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Tuttle Care Center in Tuttle. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Croswell officiating and Margo Vestal assisting. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Phyllis was born June 5, 1917, in Marlow to Allen Vaughn and Nell Miller Vaughn. She married Oliver Van "Kirk" Kuykendall on March 25, 1935, in Walters, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1977. She lived in Marlow most of her life and was a former resident of Mustang before settling in Tuttle. She graduated from Marlow High School in 1934. She served as a Sunday School teacher at Fifth Street Baptist Church and was very active in the church for many years. She was also active in the planning and construction of the Oklahoma Missionary Baptist College in Marlow. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Kuykendall has a homemaker and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Darla Vestal and Mary Lykins, both of Yukon; four grandchildren, Ronald Lee Vestal and his wife, Margo, of Yukon, Van Vestal and his wife, Emily, of Marlow, Eddie Lykins of Tuttle and Vanna Lea Johnson and her husband, Buddy, of Oklahoma City; and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Eddie Lykins; and a sister, Virl Tittsworth. Bearers will be Howard Hurley, Gerald McConnell, Billy Hammond, Tommy Hammond, Bennie Ritter, Tony Ritter and Gerald Ward.
