He moved to Duncan in 1937 and worked for Haliburton, retiring in 1974. He married Opal Lillian Graham on Sept. 5 1938. After her death on June 5 1973, he married Celestia Davenport Barrett on Sept. 2 1975. He was a World War II veteran, being discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1946. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Duncan, the Duncan Elks Golf and Country Club. His hobbies were bowling, golf and traveling. Survivors include his wife of the home, two brother-in-law, Vernon Nelson of Oklahoma City and Jerry Davenport of Warwick NY, two nephews, Charles Kellogg of Edmond and Val Ray and Phyllis Ammer of Oklahoma City., nieces and their spouses, Pat and Dick Wilkins of Oklahoma City, Carol and Chuck Barnes of Grand Prairie TX, Mary Lou Parker of Oklahoma City, Carolyn VanMater of Sayre, Susan and John DuPertius of Grapevine TX, Lauren and Frank Roof of Frisco TX, Robin Ammer of Ococee Fla., Michele and Todd Strader of Oklahoma City, Allison and Kevin Brown of Oklahoma City, Austin Ammer of Oklahoma City, Megan DuPertius of Grapevine TX, Ashley and Amanda Roof of Frisco TX, great-nieces, nephews and their spouses, Mike and Shari Kellogg of Dallas, Tonya Wilkins of Oklahoma City, Andrea and Todd Sills of Oklahoma City, Richard and D'Anna Wilkins of Oklahoma City, Dana and Mike Necaise of Mansfield TX, Denise and David Selby of Watauga TX, Krista and Mark Myers of Edmond, Ty Burkhart of Ft. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Amos, and Ray Kellogg, a sister Eula Mae Kellogg, a sister-in-law Lola Kellogg, two babies Paula Rae and baby Kellogg and his parents. Funeral serviced were at the First Christian Church presiding assisted by Rev. Brad Allen.
