All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== (Duncan Banner) KIRKLAND RITES WILL BE MONDAY Services for Mrs Ermine Augusta Kirkland, former Duncan area resident who died at the home of a daughter in San Antonio, Tex, has been set for 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev Tim Akers, pastor, will officiate in Fair Baptist church. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery, with Brooks Funeral Home in charge. Mrs Kirkland was a resident of the Duncan area from 1928 to 1958, living with a son W A Kirkland of Comanche. She was born Dec. 17, 1875. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs Opal Adair of Napa, Calif., Mrs L D Littrell of Yusika, Calif., and Mrs J J Bitting of San Antonio, Tex.; two sons, W A Kirkland of Comanche, route 3, and T J Kirkland of Baton Rouge, La.; 17 grandchildren 31 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Ellen Jones of Jackson, Miss., and a niece, Dorothy Ledbetter, also of Jackson. Bearers will be Fred Husband, Bill Husband, Allen Medline, Archie Norsworthy, Bill Woolf, and John Boulware. (NOTE: Ermine Augusta JONES Kirkland died 6 May 1962. She was the daughter of John Andrew T JONES and Nancy E CURRY Roy Kirkland. She was born in Tarrant Co., Tx.
